Washington Hospital Healthcare System

McMurry’s roots (before merging with TMG and later becoming Manifest) started in creating custom health-focused magazines for various hospitals across the country. These magazines would be placed in waiting rooms to help inform their patients about new health offerings or other programs happening within the hospital. Over time, we realized there was also a huge need in bringing some of these smaller hospital’s websites into the future so that patients would know where to look for information before arriving for their appointments. In this instance, it was time to bring the Washington Hospital Healthcare System (WHHS) website to the modern era.

Built on a custom, in-house CMS called “WebEdge”, shown here are templates for the homepage and internal pages. These pages would be sent over to our Developers to build. After we set them up with all of their main content, the hospital would be “given the keys” to the CMS where they could add and curate web pages to suit their needs. The design lifts the vibrant greens, yellows, and teals from both the WHHS magazine, other signage, and branding.

Home

This design features plenty of modules to communicate things like “ER wait times”, events, and latest hospital news to their patients. Each section is easily customizable so the client can update and share new content as it becomes relevant.

Page Template

This template was created so the client could understand how their internal pages would appear when filled with different types of content. Sidebar content as well as article stylings such as images, callouts, CTA’s, quotes, lists, etc… are all demonstrative of what types of things could be included when creating pages of their own in the future.

Styling Sample

A duplicate version of the Page Template was created to show rollover effects, font structure, and other stylings. This was used to communicate design intent with developers as well as help the client understand how to structure their pages on their own.
